Rancang Bangun Antena Parabolic Untuk Frekuensi Kerja 2.4 GHz

Abstract

Teknologi nirkabel (Wireless) sebagai media komunikasi mengalami perkembangan begitu pesat seiring dengan berkembangnya kebutuhan masyarakat akan teknologi yang lebih efisien. Walaupun dinilai efisien akan tetapi kinerja jaringan wireless sangat bergantung pada banyak faktor.  Salah satu faktor pendukung adalah antena, karena antena menentukan komunikasi data dan suara melalui media udara secara langsung. Pada penelitian ini dirancang antena parabolic yang berfungsi sebagai antena penerima dengan frekuensi kerja 2.4GHz. Antena menggunakan dish parabola sebagai reflektor antena. Perancangan antena parabolic melewati beberapa tahap. Pertama melalui perancangan spesifikasi dan dimensi fisik antena. Kedua simulasi menggunakan software CST Studio Suite. Ketiga implementasi antena parabolic sesuai dengan perhitungan dan software perancangan. Pengukuran antena parabolic ini meliputi frekuensi kerja, return loss, VSWR, bandwidth, pola radiasi, gain, pengukuran kecepatan Wi-Fi, dan pengukuran jarak area. Dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan, antenna parabolic bekerja pada frekuensi 2.401GHz, return loss -21.02dB, VSWR 1.194, bandwidth 637.276MHz, pola radiasi direksional, gain 24.29 dBi, pengukuran wifi mampu mencapai upload 59% dan download 77.7% lebih cepat, juga jarak antena mencapai 66.7% lebih jauh, dimana antena bekerja cukup baik dibandingkan dengan antena acuan.

Wireless technology as a communication medium has experienced rapid development along with the growing need for more efficient technology.  Although considered efficient but the performance of wireless networks is very dependent on many factors.  One of the supporting factors is the antenna, because the antenna determines data and voice communication through the air media directly. In this research, a parabolic antenna has been designed that functions as a receiving antenna with a 2.4GHz working frequency. The antenna uses a dish as an antenna reflector. Designing a parabolic antenna goes through several stages. First, through designing specifications and physical dimensions of the antenna. Second is simulations use the CST Studio Suite software.  Third is implementations of parabolic antenna in accordance with the calculation and design program. The measurement of this parabolic antenna involves working frequency, return loss, VSWR, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain, measurement speeds of Wi-Fi , and measurement of coverage area. From the results of the tests performed, parabolic antennas work at a frequency of 2.401GHz, return loss -21.02dB,VSWR 1.194, bandwidth 637.276MHz, radiation pattern is a directional, gain 24.29 dBi, wireless measurements were able to reach speeds up to 59% for upload and 77.7% for download where is more faster, also the antenna coverage area up to 66.7% more further, where the antenna works quite well compared to the reference antenna.
